Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Explore & Play

    Join Spirits of the Realms or other GoE-supported games and apps to engage with nature in a fun, rewarding way.

  • Contribute Knowledge

    Share stories, cultural insights, and biodiversity observations using supported apps — or directly through any Realm’s webpage. (Or help verify biodiversity observations through the Oracle of Life)

  • Start Your Own Nature Realm

    Create and activate a local Nature Realm to track, grow, share your community’s biocultural value and earn BCUs to support regeneration.

  • Harvest BioCultural Units (BCUs)

    Earn BioCultural Units (BCUs) by visiting existing Realms and raising their BioScore by contributing data or knowledge. You can spend Harvested BCUs to create Realms, or they can be sold to buyers on the BCU marketplace. IMPORTANT - There is a total supply cap of 1M BCUs forever - The amount of BioScore required to harvest a BCU is gradually increasing over time. - For more details about the BioScore, click here.

  • Buy BCUs

    Purchase BCUs from harvesters via the BCU market or affiliated trading platforms.

    Your purchase supports:

    • The harvesters who are growing the biocultural knowledge

    • The verifiers who protect its quality

    • Approved and verified local restoration projects across the Nature Realms network.

    What can I do with purchased BCUs?

    • Stake Your Purchased BCUs on Realms

      Stake your purchased BCUs on any Realm. If the Realm’s BioScore increases, you earn more BCUs from a limited staking pool. (If the BioScore decreases, you may lose some BCUS — although the overall market is trending upward). We recommend keeping an eye on the Nature Market Tips page here, or on the Guardians of Earth Discord channel.

    • Hold and sell your Purchased BCUs later

      After a vesting period, we will allow buyers to start selling purchased BCUs on the market. We cannot guarantee the future value of purchased BCUs, and do not recommend purchasing solely for speculative reasons.
