Amplifying Evidence With Song Tokens

The quality of the flow of relevant ecological knowledge is a unique measure of biocultural health. Guardians of Earth uses a "song" system to valuate evidence.

What do Song Tokens do?

Song tokens allow you to amplify or soften evidence or a sighting in a Realm. The effect of the song token depends on your shareholding in that Realm—the larger your shareholding, the greater the impact.

How many Song Tokens do I start with?

All users of GoE receive 5-10 song tokens upon registration. Shareholders of a Realm receive an additional 25 song tokens multiplied by the level of that Realm.

How do I receive more Song Tokens?

If a Realm you are a shareholder in gains levels, you and every other shareholder will receive 25 songs tokens per level. You can also earn song tokens when another user amplifies your evidence or your sighting. The number of songs you receive depends on how much the evidence is amplified and the Realm shareholding of the person who amplifies it. If the person is a larger shareholder, you will receive more song tokens.

How does the Song Token voting system work?

Your song tokens are special! Here's how they work:

1. Origin Matters: Song tokens operate just like “tokens,” but each song is unique and remembers where it came from.

2. Using Songs: You can use your songs to amplify or soften any evidence, with one exception.

3. The Exception: You can't use song tokens to amplify or soften a evidence by the same person who gave you those song tokens, or by anyone who received those song tokens previously.

4. Why?: This encourages “spreading of wealth,” and prevents the possibility of gaming the system through collusive behaviour.

5. Your Song Token Count: You might see two numbers:

• “Total Songs” - All the songs you have.

• “Songs available for this evidence” - Songs you can use for a specific evidence.

Don't Worry: If you can't use some song tokens now, you can always use them for other evidence!

Remember, the song tokens which are awarded to you automatically (like when your Realm levels up) can be used anywhere. Enjoy amplifying the evidence you love!

Does evidence impact our BioScore?

Yes, it does. Amplified evidence raise the BioScore more than evidence that haven’t been amplified. Additionally, evidence amplified by many people contribute more to the BioScore than evidence amplified by just one person, even if the overall amplification is the same

What if I'm already a user of a GoE-related app, such as Spirits of the Realms or QuestaGame

The song tokens you receive when logging into the GoE site will be multiplied by your XP level in the games.
