What are BioQuests?

Each year - in April and October - Nature Realms around the world compete against each other as they explore the magic of the natural world

If you are a school, university, public library, or other public, non-profit organisation, it's free to create your own Nature Realm. Just contact us and we'll create the Realm for you. The primary focus of the BioQuest is to see which Nature Realms will increase their BioScores the most over the course of the month. To make it more fair seasonally, for different parts of the world, we run the competition over two months: April and October. Players can contribute to the bioscore through any integrated citizen science biodiversity monitoring apps (including our gaming app, ).

How do we win a BioQuest?

There are several ways to win:

  • Top Nature Realms in your Category - e.g. Schools, University, Resorts, Corporations, Conservation Parks, Libraries, Airports, Golf Courses, etc.

  • Top Spirits of the Realms Team - Which team will collectively score highest in Spirits of the Realms?

  • Top Players - Which players will beat out the others and claim the highest score in Spirits of the Realms?

  • Top Identifiers - Who will earn the most BioCoin through correct identifications of sightings submitted in participating realms? Test your ID skills in the Oracle of Life.
